The truth about breakfast

Have ever heard the following sentence: 'Breakfast is the most import meal of the day'?

Most likely you have, but when you look into to it you'll find out that that is not entirely truth.

If you divide this compound word into two parts, you'll see it's made up of “break" and “fast." To fast means to go without food. So “breakfast" means to break the fast you've been observing since you went to sleep the night before.

Breakfast is indeed the most important meal of the day but it doesn't matter if you eat it at 8 am or 2 pm, it's still breakfast.

But why is the first meal the most important?

Eating a healthy and balance first meal, filled with healthy fats, fiber, carbohydrates and protein will maintains blood sugar levels, prevents binge eating, and sets the tone for a day of healthy eating, meaning you won't crave as much "crappy" foods and you'll have a lot more energy.

So whether your a breakfast eater or a 'faster', prioritize having a nutrients rich first meals and you'll see the benefits throughout the day!
